Community Guidelines

Nihon Nomise is built on a foundation of mutual respect, creativity, and a shared passion for Japanese pop culture, including anime, manga, cosplay, gaming, and other creative expressions.

Our community welcomes everyone regardless of background, experience level, or fandom preference.

To maintain a positive and welcoming environment, we ask all members to:

• Treat fellow community members with kindness, courtesy, and respect.
• Refrain from any form of discrimination based on race, gender, sexual orientation, disability, religion, or any other personal characteristic.
• Respect differing opinions regarding anime, manga, or other cultural interests. Healthy discussions are encouraged, but personal attacks are not acceptable.
• Use appropriate language at all times. Excessive profanity, hate speech, or offensive slurs may result in content removal or removal from the community.

Nihon Nomise maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward harassment, both within our online community spaces and during our physical events.

The following behaviors are strictly prohibited:

• Stalking, intimidation, or any form of unwanted contact.
• Sharing another person's private or personal information without their consent (doxxing).
• Touching cosplayers or their costumes without permission. The principle "Cosplay is Not Consent" always applies.
• Taking photos or videos of cosplayers or other attendees without first asking for permission.

If you experience or witness any form of harassment, please report it immediately to our staff or moderators. All reports will be handled seriously and confidentially.

When sharing content within Nihon Nomise community spaces (including social media, Discord servers, and events), members are expected to follow these guidelines:

• Do not share NSFW, explicit, or age-inappropriate content in public areas or general channels.
• Always credit artists and creators when sharing their work.
• Avoid spam, excessive self-promotion, or posting scam links.
• Keep discussions relevant to the community's interests and within the appropriate channels or discussion areas.

The safety and well-being of our community members is our top priority.

To ensure a safe environment for everyone:

• If you see something concerning, please report it to our staff or moderators.
• Do not promote or glorify self-harm, violence, or illegal activities.
• During events, follow all safety instructions provided by event staff and venue personnel.
• Parents or guardians are responsible for supervising minors attending our events at all times.

To maintain a safe, welcoming, and positive environment, Nihon Nomise reserves the right to take action against any violations of these Community Guidelines.

Possible actions may include:

• Warning: A formal notice about the violation.
• Content Removal: Removing the violating content from community platforms.
• Access Restriction: Restricting access to community platforms.
• Event Removal: Immediate removal from events.
• Temporary or Permanent Ban: Temporary or permanent bans from future Nihon Nomise activities.

All enforcement decisions will be made by our moderation or event management team based on the severity of the violation.
